1969 Deluxe Microbus

This bus was imported from the states and looked to be rust free in the photos!

When it arrived and we had a closer look it needed small repairs in the cab and cargo floors, the windscreen surround and the bottoms of the 1/4 panels

The bus has been lowered with a splitscreen king and linkpin beam and flipped spindles on the front and has some very dubious looking chassis notches on the rear which we have cut out and redone to put some strength back into the chassis rails and lower it using dropped and adjustable spring plates rather than the horseshoe plates that were fitted.   The chassis needs bigger notches so that the “IRS” arms can clear when substantially lowering with adjustable/dropped springplates

The bus has got awesome patina, so we are trying to preserve as much of the original paint as possible and all of the repairs will be carefully blended in, and we plan to fully detail the underside and engine bay as well as fit a custom interior.

We have got some different ideas on weather to run air or hydraulics, or weathger to keep it static.

Watch this space for updates.  We’re hoping to have the bus on the road for the Volksworld Show in March ’23
